Brian Millar has worked in advertising, research and strategy for over 25 years. He was a copywriter and creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi and Ogilvy in Paris, New York and London. His creative work includes IBM’s Solutions for a Small Planet ads. They were voted Campaign of the Decade in Advertising Age magazine. He then became a partner at Sense Worldwide, an award winning research company, leading global projects with Samsung, Nike and The Cabinet Office among many others.
Torie combines the creative flair of a TV producer with the rigour of a tech entrepreneur. As Head of Development at Freemantle she co-formated and sold show formats like Pop Idol and The Farmer Wants a Wife. Many of her show formats went global, running on channels from BBC and Disney to CNN and Sky, picking up numerous BAFTAs and other awards along the way. She founded Rockabox Media (Now Scoota) in 2007, which quickly became the global leader in creative programmatic media distribution. Torie has also created two bestselling children’s books for charity, is a winner of Everywoman’s Technology Woman of the Year and is a Guinness World Record holder.
Sarah spent her early career in Telco, working in Marketing and Operations and ultimately combining her expertise in those areas to run large transformation projects to enhance customer engagement and create a distinctive customer experience in what was essentially a utility market. Later, with three sons under five, she took a career break to focus on family. During this time she found herself, to her surprise, running a cricket club, something which continues to be a labour of love. She returned to ‘real’ work in the Arts in 2015, as Head of Marketing for a local arts centre but was keen to back into the commercial world and specifically the arena of Customer Engagement. Sarah joined Paddle in early 2017 as ‘The Governor’ with responsibility for Operations and Finance.
